NP Dodge Holds ‘Topping Off’ Celebration

Dodge Plaza construction reached a milestone on Friday, July 28th, 2006 when the final piece of structural steel was set in place at a topping off ceremony. The beam, which was painted white and in keeping with industry tradition held an American flag and Christmas tree, was set in place at the top of the new four-story structure. The new plaza is located at 13321 California Street (northwest corner of 132nd & Dodge).

The ceremony began at 11:00 am with invited guests signing the beam, including Mayor Mike Fahey, Holland Basham Architects, the project’s architectural firm and the management and construction crew from Meyers Carlisle Leapley, the project contractor. N.P. Dodge Jr. then thanked everyone for their part in the project and spoke a few words about the new office building. Those who attended included N.P. “Sandy” Dodge Jr., Nate Dodge, Dodge family members, NAI NP Dodge commercial division representatives, dignitaries, and local press.

The Dodge Plaza building is of a contemporary design articulated with sleek blue glass, white modern panels, a towering corner accent and a sweeping curve along Dodge Street. There will be 383 parking stalls, 38 of which will be indoors on the lower level. There will also be a balcony off the third floor facing South overlooking Dodge Street towards Boys Town. NAI NP Dodge Commercial Sales and Management will be in charge of leasing and management, and also will be a tenant in the building.

Builder Lots Chosen For 2007 Street of Dreams In Five Fountains

NP Dodge Celebrates Grand Opening of New South Omaha Residential Sales Office

NP Dodge Real Estate celebrated the opening of the largest residential sales office in South Omaha. The new office is located at 2424 Oak Street, just north of Vinton Square shopping plaza and west of 24th Street by First National Bank. The grand opening festivities began at 11:30 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and comments from Mayor Mike Fahey, N.P. "Sandy" Dodge IV and Mike Riedmann, President of NP Dodge Residential Sales Division. Those in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony included Mayor Mike Fahey, N.P. "Sandy" Dodge IV , N.P. "Nate" Dodge V, Tim Clark and Ann Brannigan of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce; John Barrientos, President of the South Omaha Business Association; Donna Wagner from the Chicano Awareness Center; Mary Vasquez, Director of the Metropolitian Community College South Omaha Campus; Marcos Mora founder of the South Omaha Arts Institute; Sheila Valerio Rocha of the South Omaha Arts Institute; Beatriz Garcia of the Latina Resource Center; Maggie Garcia of the El Museo Latino; Beato Cervantez, coordinator of the NE Aids Project; businesses from the surrounding community, NP Dodge management, sales associates and staff.

Dodge Cares, Inc. Fundraising Campaign Groundbreaking

Dodge Cares, Inc. will kick-off their 2006 fundraising campaign “Creating Hope...from the ground up” project with a groundbreaking Thursday, February 16 at 2:00 pm, located at Copperfields Subdivision, lots 92 and 93 (S. HWS Cleveland Boulevard at approximately 198th St.). Through the generous contributions of Brau Builders, Inc., Jordan Michael Signature Homes, their subcontractors, listing agents, Jeff Rensch and Dirk Blume, Copperfields, LLC., and NP Dodge Company, two homes will be built and sold. The proceeds from the sales of these homes will be donated to Dodge Cares, Inc. for distribution to 15 approved charitable agencies. Those attending will include Dodge Cares, Inc. Board of Directors, dignitaries, charity representatives, builders, subcontractors, sales associates, employees, and the local press.

The approved charitable agencies include Care Corps, Family Service Transitions, Habitat for Humanity-Omaha, Heartland Family Services, Lydia House, MICAH House, Open Door Mission, Phoenix House, Sarpy County Habitat for Humanity, Siena/Francis House, Mary Catherine McAuley Center, formerly St. Vincent de Paul, The Stephen Center, Together, Inc. of Metropolitan Omaha, Wesley House and Youth Emergency Services.

NP Dodge Real Estate Adds New Interactive Map-Based Property Search To Website

NP Dodge Real Estate is proud to introduce their interactive mapping property search in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area at npdodge.com. This new technology is the first and only totally interactive map search that allows consumers to see basic information and the location of specific homes that meet their needs without going to multiple screens. As they enter their search criterion, house icons will appear on the map indicating the house location. Mouse–over any of the icons and a photo of the house will appear with basic information about the property. Those searching can also click on the information icon to go to the complete detail screen of that listing on the NP Dodge site.

Dave Faulkner, who oversees the project for NP Dodge Real Estate, said, “This is just one more way we can better offer consumers the most comprehensive, user friendly and content friendly real estate website in the area.”

Additional features of this new map-based search include automatic updating of mapped properties when selecting new search criteria and being able to navigate easily around a selected geographic region without having to repeatedly zoom in and out. Faulkner notes, “Like other interactive programs, the mapping solution will work best with a high speed internet connection.”

NP Dodge to Construct New Commercial Building on West Dodge Road

NP Dodge recently closed on the purchase of more than four acres of land on the Northwest corner of 132nd and West Dodge Road with plans to construct a five story, 68,400 square foot office building. NP Dodge Residential Sales, currently located at 129th and Dodge, will relocate and occupy the new facility’s first floor, and NP Dodge Commercial and Industrial Sales/Management office will occupy a portion of the second floor.

The building is of a contemporary design articulated with sleek blue glass, white modern panels, a towering corner accent and a sweeping curve along Dodge Street. There will be 383 parking stalls, 38 of which will be indoors on the lower level. There will also be a balcony off the third floor facing South overlooking Dodge Street towards Boys Town.

Holland Basham Architects and Meyers Carlisle Leapley Construction Company, Incorporated, both of Omaha, plan to break ground for the building late spring 2006.
